Thursday, December 1, 2011

Quote of the week: “I basically think it’s the person, and everyone – whether they’re male or female – they have to earn their stripes and earn respect.” Peta Searle, the first female assistant football coach in the VFL.

Hello friends,

Firstly, I would like to congratulate Melbourne mum, Peta Searle on her appointment as assistant coach to Gary Ayres at VFL club Port Melbourne. I believe this is a courageous step in the right direction from Gary Ayres who approached Peta to apply for the position. I commend Gary and congratulate Peta, this is an exceptional breakthrough for women in sport! I wish you all the very best Peta…go girl! 🙂

  25. Finally, when you are challenged, need to take action or make a decision ask yourself, “if today was the last day on this earth what really matters, what would I do and is this really important’?

I hope you find some of this useful, enjoy the next 24 days until Christmas!

 Keep smiling

Cherie 🙂
