Today the team had an early wake-up at the Namaste Lodge in Lukla. They would have said goodbye (again!) to some of the sherpas and porters before being bustled through airport security at the Tenzing-Hillary Aiport and boarding a flight for Kathmandu. No doubt the streets of Kathmandu felt like an assault on the senses after so many peaceful days in the mountains.
