It’s time to go trekking in beautiful Nepal; the country that needs us most of all!
Namaste friends,
Tomorrow I will arrive in Kathmandu, Nepal with my enthusiastic trekking clients to guide two emotionally charged Everest Base Camp expeditions.
Trek 1: Everest Base Camp via Gokyo Lakes – 11 September – 2 October
Trek 2: Everest Base Camp Trek – 4 October – 21 October
It is my first return back to the wonderful place I call my ‘second home’ since the tragic April and May earthquakes that ravaged the country of so many of my Nepalese friends and colleagues. This season’s expeditions will be intensely meaningful not only for myself as the guide but also my wonderful trekking clients who have been unwavering in their decision and commitment to such a profound personal adventure challenge.
My entire team of excited trekkers – Aimee, Emily, Raelene, Sarah, Tracy, Dave, Ian, Mike, Steve and Warrick are supremely motivated, physically prepared and ready to experience a ‘once in a lifetime’ trekking adventure in the most magnificent mountain range in the world, the Himalayas, home of the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest.
My incredibly spirited Sherpa team are energized and determined to return to their sacred mountains and show off their wonderful country to adventure trekkers again.
We as tourists will depart Australia this evening knowing that our awe-inspiring trek to Everest Base Camp and Gokyo lakes will be the very first step in bringing back hope, strength and love to a heartbroken country.
Getting back in the mountains to guide my clients is my passion and purpose in life.
These two epic treks are going to be filled with endless adventure, excitement and desire.
It’s time for Nepal to smile again!
We will help make it happen!
