Embarking on a Himalayan trekking adventure is all about optimum preparation.

Excited Adventurers!

The countdown is now on…
Next week I fly to Kathmandu, Nepal to guide two classic Himalayan treks.

I will start my high-spirited guiding commitments with a 22 day Annapurna Circuit trek and then lead an 18 day Everest Base Camp trek.

Annapurna Circuit -20 September – 11 October, 2014
Everest Base Camp – 14 October – 31 October , 2014

I am so inspired; I am following my passion in life. In the next two months I will guide all my adventurous trekking clients throughout the most spectacular mountain range in the world, the Himalayas.

Over the last 7 weeks my wonderful trekking team have embarked on my specific pre-trek training program that includes simulated altitude training (SAT) and outdoor group conditioning sessions. We have had so much fun, become great friends, a strongly bonded team and gained a level of fitness that will serve us exceptional well in the high altitude environment of the Himalayan mountains.

I cannot over estimate or stress the importance of quality trek specific training to prepare for a high altitude trekking adventure.

Optimum preparation is the golden key to an enjoyable and successful trekking experience.

I would like to share the excited words of one of my highly enthusiastic trekkers, Warrick who talks about the team’s preparation over the last few months.

“I have a strong feeling we have embarked on the ultimate preparation for this trek. Cherie’s imparting of her valuable mountaineering knowledge is readily received. Her own amazing fitness levels and her enthusiasm towards our training are inspirational and extremely motivational. She has my fitness levels going through the roof. Cherie has installed a great sense of camaraderie amongst the group. We are in very capable and professional hands. My anticipation of this journey is increasingly mounting.

The mountains await…
This trekking adventure is just beginning.”
