Quote for the day: “All know the way; few actually walk it.” Bodhidharma

Hello friends!

I hope you are having a happy and healthy week?

The countdown continues….only 15 days to go before we depart Melbourne….destination Kathmandu, Nepal!!

Training is going extremely well. Last Sunday our team (and a few of my personal training clients) drove to Lake Mountain (21km from Marysville) and pack-hiked around the beautiful surrounds for the day. There are over 30km of walking trails to explore including several viewing points scattered across the mountain, offering panoramic views of the Victorian Alps, the Great Dividing Range and across to Melbourne.

The highest point on Lake Mountain is 1480 metres above sea level (see picture of our team at the summit below) which was a walk in the park compared to what we will be experiencing in a few weeks time!

During our trek to Base Camp Everest we scale a mountain called Kala Patthar, which stands at 5550m above sea level….4 times the height of Lake Mountain!! This will be the highest elevation we achieve during our trek in March. It is here that we will have spectacular views of sunset over Mount Everest (8848m) and Nuptse (7864m).

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Kathmandu, Hampton East for their help and support during our lead up preparation. All the team have received corporate sponsorship on all their gear for this trip which has been sensational. We very much appreciate it.

Thank you so much Kathmandu, Hampton East!

So the countdown continues….The whole team are getting very excited and so is their guide! 🙂

Not long now, only 15 days to go!

Base Camp Everest….bring it on!!

Have a wonderful day friends, appreciate and be thankful for all you have.

Smiles always

Cherie
